How to distinguish between knitting yarn and woven yarn?
First of all, we have to figure out what is the characteristic of woven yarn or some woven yarn (because the age of the shuttle looms is too long, so there is still the habit of woven yarn).
1. Woven yarns (mostly arrow looms or air jet looms now) refer to the yarns used in the processing of woven fabrics, which are divided into warp yarns and weft yarns. The warp yarn is used as a longitudinal yarn of the fabric. In order to improve the production efficiency under the premise of ensuring the quality of the cloth surface in the weaving process, it is required to have high strength and good wear resistance. The weft yarn is used as a transverse yarn of the fabric, which can satisfy the softness of the fabric surface.
2. The yarn for knitting is the yarn used for the knitted fabric. The fabric is required to be smooth and soft to the touch. The yarn quality requirements are better. According to experience, in the procurement process, a key indicator for testing is the yarn twist. For warp yarns, the twist factor is generally around 400. Weaving weft and knitting yarns, the twist coefficient is generally around 350.
